Communicating Persuasive Ideas

Back to Home

I feel like I don’t really have a speaking problem as much as I have a confidence problem. When I’m in front of people I know, I have no problem communicating persuasive ideas. But, when the pressure is on in front of an audience, I don’t come through the way I want to. In what ways could you coach me through a problem like this?

Thanks

Great Question  Sherry gaining confidence is all about knowing your material and feeling good about yourself. You have to psych your self up for every presentation remember your there to help  people. It's a good Idea to meet a few people in the audience before you speak, all of a sudden your not speaking  to a room of strangers. Address each one of them at a time 3-5 sec per person. when you feel comfortable , breath and speak to the whole audience. Hope that helps.
