Tips - Learn how to use your body language when public speaking

Looking to learn how to use body language effectively when speaking to an audience?

Check out this public speaking tip video done by Earl Sky from Vocal Power to learn how to properly use your body language while engaging in public speaking.

It's easier than you think, learning how to use body language is a tip to take into consideration when delivering a speech or engaging in public speaking. It can really make a difference because it's not what you say, but how you say it.

"Hi there and welcome to Vocal Power.
I'm Earl Sky and today I want to talk to you about body language.

1. Your Impression

Body language is so powerful, how you enter a stage, how you stand.
Do you smile at the audience?
How do you use your hands?
Most importantly, eye contact.

Let's talk about the beginning of your speech. You've been asked to speak, you come up to the podium.
What do you look like?
Is your grooming great?
Do you look good, do your clothes fit properly?
Are your shoes shined? So important.
It's all about your impression.

2. Use Body Language to Engage your Audience

The next part of impression is about what you're going to say obviously, but before you even open your mouth, you have to smile engage the audience, look at them, and then begin.

Body Language is key in transmitting your message to the audience, without any body language, you might as well just stay home.

Eye contact and how you walk onto the stage is just the beginning of body language.

There's so much more to it. If you log onto to Vocalpower.ca and take a look at the 45 minutes of free video, there are some great pointers and tips there to make your body language really connect with the audience.

I'm also offering a free consultation.

Email me at earlsky@vocalpower.ca and I'll give you 20 minutes of my time, no charge, listen to your voice, analyse it and give you some pointers.

Till next time, good speaking. I'm Earl Sky"

I am really enjoying watching all these videos! Using Body language when speaking is another tool that can be used during a presentation, I agree! Just when its done properly. More people should sign up for public speaking courses as they really do come in handy, not just for presentations but in general as well.
