Interviews of any nature can be nerve wrecking for anyone. Here are some helpful tips to help you feel more confident come interview time!
  • Prepare  6-8 talking points-stay organized, know your material
  • 25-40 second  answers-keep it concise  and use simple language, the less editing for the reporter the better
  • Practice a mock interview and record it
  • Don’t say “no comment”, what are you hiding ? If you don’t know  the answer, get back to them.  
  • There is no such thing as off the record
  • Practice your diction, using tongue twisters
  • Warm up your voice by humming
  • Breath from your diaphragm project your voice
  • If it’s TV dress the part
  • Smile before you say anything and it will come out warm & friendly
